A wise woman once said,
"The longer you wait to be who God has called you to be, the longer people will suffer."
I felt that on a visceral level! Once I started becoming the woman I was created to be, my life began to blossom in every way possible.

Let me ask you a question

Have you ever woken up and said to yourself, “Today is the day I will get my entire life together”? You begin with a to-do list that is miles long, you download a cute little budget tracker, you even sign up for a Zumba or Hot Yoga class. You go out and buy a fancy planner, and you even commit to changing your diet. You start binge-watching motivational YouTube videos that lead to you brainstorming that million-dollar idea. You think you’re going all in! For a second, you believe you are indeed, getting your life together, because the planning just feels so good and productive.

Then…

Somewhere along the way, you can no longer maintain the steam you had before. You begin to fall back into old habits, you’re still unhappy, you wasted money on that new healthy organic food that you let rot and those classes you’ll never go to. You didn’t come up with that million-dollar idea that’s going to make you rich and lead you to your best life. You’ve simply lost the motivation you had because it all seems so overwhelming. Between being so broke you can’t pay attention and so low you’ve just about hit rock bottom you are just about to give up.

You’re probably wondering how I’ve got you pegged like that, right?

The truth is I’ve been there. My apartment was full of crumbled up to-do lists, my accounts bleeding from purchases and subscriptions I never used, and my willpower depleted from the endless attempt to “get my life together”. I was what you call “a hot ass mess”. That is until I did two things:

I started reading the advice of those I admired

I start taking action based on the advice I read

All I knew was the normal way of doing things was just not going to cut it for me. Living for the weekend was not going to cut it for me and being complacent with a mediocre life was not what I was here for. I identified three things that had to change:

My mindset

My circle of influence

My finances

Once I figured that out, there was no turning back!

Miss Unconventional was born out of a desire to share how I got my life together and how you can too. There are some great books, blogs, and videos out there with sound advice, but not many put it in a language you can understand and resonate with. My goal is to teach and inspire young women like you to get your coins and design your best life—whatever that means to you.

Stop thinking about what society says you should do.

Stop looking at how your friend is doing it.

Stop listening to everyone else’s opinion and start making decisions based on your vision.

Allow me to guide you to what that is by subscribing to Miss Unconventional. I promise I won’t let you down. It’s about time you had someone in your corner who wants to see you win YOUR way.
